The Kano State Government has leveled new fraud charges against former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, ex-Commissioner for Local Government Murtala Garo, and two others. According to the charge sheet, the accused are implicated in a scheme involving the criminal diversion of N57.4 billion from local government allocations into personal accounts. They face accusations of criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, and making false statements. The state alleges that they transferred these funds into dollars for personal gain and acquired various high-value properties, including commercial real estate in Dubai and Abuja.
