According to the Director of Public Enlightenment in the State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Kiru, who signed the statement on behalf of the Commissioner, the Kano State Government understands the importance of starting the academic session on time, but it must prioritise the welfare and safety of students.

“The postponement is necessary to ensure that the state provides a conducive learning environment for students and appeals to parents, guardians, and students to bear with the state government,” he said.
