Kwara Poly expels 29 students

Authorities of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, have expelled about 29 students of the Institution for alleged examination malpractices.
The offence, according to the Management of the Institution, contravened the matriculation oath sworn to by the affected students.
A statement by the management recalled the involvement and trial of the affected students in the case of alleged examination malpractice levelled against them.
It was gathered that the Polytechnic Governing Council consequently considered the report of the Academic Board in respect of the case and approved their immediate expulsion from the institution.

“Your expulsion is in line with the provision of the reviewed student’s information and regulations handbook 2019.
” You, therefore, cease to be students of the Polytechnic and you should hand over all Polytechnic’s properties in your possession to your Head of Department, or the appropriate Polytechnic authorities,” the statement added.
The management advised the affected students to comply strictly with the directive to avoid litigation.
