Alhaji Salihu Aliyu Gwanara, a foremost educator, the Tafarikin Borgu of Borgu Kingdom and father of the Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu is dead.
Gwanara died on Friday and was buried according to Islamic rites Saturday morning in his hometown in Gwanara, a statement by Alhaji Mohammed Salihu, announced on Saturday.
The deceased was a councillor in the Old Borgu Kingdom.
The deceased, who was until his death, the Tafarkin of Borgu Kingdom, is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, among them are Alhaji Mohammed Salihu, Alhaji Audu Salihu, and the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu among others.
