“It was while we were at the other hospital that I received a call about the gas explosion. When we got to the shop, we found rubbles. I am a mechanic here and we repair people’s car. As you can see, all the vehicles here have been damaged due to the explosion and they are over 10. I am not liable for the damage because I am just an apprentice.

“I am still very shaken by the incident because, normally, whenever I resume work, I relax in a Benz in the workshop here. Now, the Benz has been damaged.

“If I was around, I would have been in the car or sitting outside the workshop trading banters with my friends. If the explosion had happened when I was around, I could have died. From now till Sunday, I will keep giving thanks to God for saving my life.”
