There was a mild drama in Lagos on Wednesday following the death of the first Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mrs Adetoun Adediran, who reportedly woke and eventually died and buried.
Adediran, who was also a former women leader of the All Progressive Congress, Lagos chapter, was said to have died in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.
The Spokesperson of the Lagos APC, Mr Seye Oladejo, confirmed this when contacted by our correspondent.
He said, “She was a former women leader for Lagos Central, a consummate politician and a committed leader of her people who contributed immensely to the growth of the party and the development of Lagos State. She will be sorely missed.
But investigations by Franktalknow showed that Adediran had since been buried according to Islamic rites.
It was learnt that those that were billed to give her the final bathe noticed that she was still alive and she was subsequently taken to the hospital.
She was confirmed dead at the hospital and has been subsequently buried.
