Lagos exam board begins registration for 2022 entrance exam into model colleges, others

 Lagos State Examinations Board has commenced the registration for the 2022 Entrance Examination into Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools in the state.
A statement signed by the Director of the Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, informed Parents, Guardians, Head Teachers, Proprietors and Proprietress of Primary Six Pupils transiting to Junior Secondary Schools that the sale of forms for admission into the 16 Model Colleges for the year 2022 / 2023 Academic Session has begun.
The Director hinted that the payment for the Forms started from Tuesday, 4th January 2022 and will end on Friday, 8th April 2022, stating that the Screening Test would be conducted through Computer-Based Testing (CBT) only.

He noted that only qualified Pupils in both Public and Private Schools are to pay the sum of Ten Thousand Naira (#10,000) per head and late registration will attract a penalty of #5,000 addition. He added that the registration of candidates will be done through PIN which will be issued by the Board to enable the Applicants login and upload their bio-data on the portal.
While clarifying that the Screening Test is the only yardstick for admission into JSS1 in any of the Model Colleges, he disclosed that only Primary Six Pupils are eligible for the Test and candidates that pass the test and meet the required cut off marks would be offered admission in any of Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools irrespective of his or her first or second choice of schools.
 Gbadegesin, therefore, advised eligible candidates to proceed to the Accounts Department of the Board for payment details.
“In line with the State Government Revenue Policy, payment should be made through Central Billing System ( CBS), a copy of the Bank Teller showing payment will be returned to the same Accounts Department of the Board for validation of payment and issuance of an official receipt,” Gbadegesin said.
