Lagos serial carjacker arrested during operation

Nigeria police under the aegis of the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a serial carjacker in Lagos during operation.
It was gathered that the team of armed carjackers were along Ojodu-Berger Road shortly after an operation which led to the theft of two cars.
The arrested culprit was identified as Dayo Jimoh.

Spokesman for the Lagos State Command Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this in a statement that  the 36-year-old and his two other gang members who have since fled, but still being trailed by the police were caught in action.
According to Hundeyin, Dayo was arrested at about 0230hrs on Saturday, March 11, 2023, shortly after his gang snatched a 2003 Toyota Corolla with registration number BDG-946-GZ. The suspects arrived in a 2005 Toyota Camry with registration number KRD-958-HS which they earlier snatched at gunpoint at Oworo, while disguising as passengers.
While investigation is ongoing, the owners of the vehicles which were recovered, are hereby urged to come forward with proof of ownership to claim their vehicles. Meanwhile, Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi have charged his men to intensify efforts to arrest the two fleeing suspects. “
