LASG seals RCCG, eatery, others over environmental offence

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Gbagada, an eatery and some other facilities for flouting the state environmental laws.

The agency sealed a private home at 21B, Akin Ogunlewe Street, Victoria Island; a parish of RCCG, Christ the Convener Stone Parish on Oguntona Crescent, Gbagada Phase 1; Home Town Eatery on Addo Langbasa Road, Ajah, and Nahman Construction Site on Reeve Road, Ikoyi, for allegedly breaching the environmental laws of the state and disturbing the peace of their host communities.

The General Manager of LASEPA, Dolapo Fasawe, during the enforcement, lamented how some residents were frustrating the state government’s effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 by their activities.

Fasawe,  who said Environmental noise is inevitable and unavoidable in an urban city like Lagos, warned   facility owners that  flout the state environmental laws to desist or face the full wrath of the law.
