The Alumni Association of Law Faculty, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago – Iwoye has stated that the death of Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem by a policeman on Christmas day should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet.
This was stated by the Public Relations Officer of the association, Barrister Bello Kazeem.
According to him, “this incident can’t and should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet.
“This heart-wrenching incident must be properly investigated devoid of any official protection or maneuvering.
“We will definitely be vigilant about this, he said.
Raheem was a member of the NBA, Lagos Branch. He was killed by members of the Nigeria Police force.
It was gathered that the deceased graduated in 2010.
The ugly incident took place at Ajah Under Bridge, Lagos State on her way back from Christmas church service.
A member of the Lagos branch and a lawyer working with the deceased revealed that some policemen moved the body after the incident.
