‘Marijuana dealer’ arrested for assaulting Ogun NSCDC officers

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command has arrested one Abiodun Taofeek a ‘Marijuana dealer’ for allegedly assaulting and vandalizing a vehicle belonging to the command.

The State Commandant, David Ojelabi, paraded the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta on Wednesday.

Ojelabi noted that  suspect confessed to being a dealer on Cannabis Sativa otherwise termed “Marijuana”

The suspect who was apprehended by operatives of Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of the state on arrest assaulted the divisional officer and his personnel.

In an attempt to resist arrest, Taofeek (the suspect) allegedly shattered the windscreen of a Toyota Camry registered under the licence plate KRY-994 DR, which belonged to one of the division’s Civil Defence Corps officers.

The commandant emphasized , however, that the suspect will face charges that are appropriate under the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s current constitution.
