English Premier League club, Chelsea is about to miss one of its top midfielders, Mason Mount, as the 24-year-old player reportedly gave a positive nod to joining Bayern Munich.
Naija News understands that Mount’s current deal with Chelsea is bound to end in the summer of 2024. The English professional player is, however, reportedly interested in reuniting with his former manager, Thomas Tuchel, at Bayern Munich.
Just a week ago, Tuchel was named the head coach of German Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich.
The former Chelsea manager and German professional football manager replaced Julian Nagelsmann who was reportedly fired minutes before the news went viral that Tuchel has been named Bayern’s new manager.
Bayern Munich also is said to have shown keen interest in bringing Mount to the Bundesliga. Mount on the other hand has failed to show interest in signing a new deal with Chelsea.
Naija News understands that Chelsea has spent over £600 million since the summer and the Blues are said to be under huge Financial Fair Play pressure. Hence, Mount could be let go in order to avoid a breach.
Though Mount has been linked with a transfer move to Liverpool, The Guardian reported that the English player is ‘interested’ in a summer move to Bayern Munich to reunite with Tuchel.

Mount recently admitted that he was not going to achieve his goals at Chelsea this summer.
