Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has lamented the naira scarcity situation across the country despite recent orders by the Supreme Court.

An obviously angry Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter page on Saturday to rain curses and abuse over those at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) whom he blamed for causing the hardship.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain lamented that some people at the CBN whom he refused to name believe they are greater than the court but should remember they are not greater than God.

He warned that such people should remember that money, power, and wealth are for a fleeting moment.

He wrote: “May God’s judgement & curse be upon those at Central Bank who believe that, despite the ruling of the courts, they are above the law & are greater than their creator. Your money, power, properties & wealth are for but a fleeting moment in the sands of time & echoes of eternity.”

Senator Sani on Saturday advised that the Governors should take their grievances directly to President Muhammadu Buhari.

He noted that both the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami can’t do anything without the President’s approval.

Taking to his Twitter account, Sani wrote: “Naira issues; The fact is that Malami and Emefiele can’t do anything without the consent of Buhari. Angry Governors should direct their anger to the right target.”
