Following the conduct of the governorship elections on Saturday, March 18, 13 out of 28 candidates have been newly elected.
It was gathered that governorship and house of assembly elections were conducted on Saturday in states. However, this article is focused on the newly-elected governors who won at the polls.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commenced announcements of poll winners on Sunday upon the successful collation of election results from different polling units across the states.
Below is the list of All Progressives Congress (APC), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidates who have been newly elected.

3. Bassey Otu – Cross River
