Nigerian songstress, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has revealed how she got signed to Mavins Records.
In an interview with Hip TV, the singer said despite her reluctance to showcase her talent, her belief in God gave her music career the wide publicity.

She added that a few minutes after she posted a freestyle video, Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records boss, reached out to her via Instagram’s direct message.
“I just allowed God to manifest his grace through me. I use to model because I had to make little money for school but I always knew music was going to come.
“The way music manifested, the way it came into my life was like if I had not believed in God, it wouldn’t have happened. I just posted a cover on Instagram that day but I didn’t want to post it.
“I was like it’s too ugly, it’s too emotional, I shouldn’t post it and something kept telling me not to post it, but I posted it.

“It was not up to an hour, my record label boss saw the video and sent me a message like oh come to the studio – and here I am today,” she said.
Ayra Starr also disclosed how she and Kelly Rowland, the US singer, connected for ‘Bloody Samaritan’ remix.
“She sent me a DM and she was like she wants to jump on Bloody Samaritan. I grew up listening to Kelly Rowland and now that I have a song with her, it’s amazing,” she said.
In July 2021, Ayra Starr dropped ‘Bloody Samaritan’, a track off her debut album ‘19 & Dangerous’.
The following year, the 20-year-old and Kelly Rowland combined for the remix of the song
