NECO Registrar Elected into Executive Council of Educational Assessment in Africa

Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), has been elected into the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).

Wushishi was elected as the West Africa Representative in the Executive Council at the 40th Conference of the Association held in Cape Town, South Africa.

He will serve in the eight-member Executive Council alongside members from other examination bodies across Africa.

The Association of Educational Assessment in Africa was established in 1982 to promote cooperation among examining and assessment bodies in Africa and harmonize educational assessment on the continent.

The conference, which took place from August 19 to 23, had the theme “Reimagining Education Assessment in the Age of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society.” Over 21 active primary members, as well as public and private institutions and organizations from across the world, attended the conference.
