The weather outlook predicts that the northern states will experience thunderstorms during the morning hours on Sunday, with continued stormy weather expected throughout the afternoon and evening.
In the North Central region, NiMet anticipates morning thunderstorms and rain, with the conditions persisting later in the day. The southern cities are likely to start the day with cloudy skies, followed by intermittent rainfall later on.
For Monday, NiMet predicts morning thunderstorms in several northern states, with the stormy weather continuing into the afternoon and evening.
The North Central region is also expected to experience thunderstorms and rain during both morning and later hours. Southern states are forecasted to have cloudy skies, with intermittent rain throughout the day.

On Tuesday, thunderstorms are expected to hit parts of Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Kaduna in the morning, with the northern region likely to experience cloudy skies later in the day.
NiMet has advised residents to avoid flood-prone areas, warning of potential urban flooding in major cities due to the heavy rainfall.
Strong winds are also likely to precede thunderstorms, and the public is urged to follow safety advisories and stay updated with weather information from NiMet.
