The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), led by Joe Ajaero, has given the Nigeria Police Force a 48-hour ultimatum to remove its operatives from the National Secretariat of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Abuja.
Following an emergency National Administrative Council (NAC) meeting, the NLC issued a statement demanding that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, withdraw his personnel from the NURTW office.
Thee labour group called on President Bola Tinubu to promptly clear his name, as it is being falsely implicated by those who have forcefully taken control of the NURTW’s secretariat with the assistance of security forces.
