The Nigeria Labour Congress has summoned an emergency National Executive Council meeting following the police invitation of its National President, Joe Ajaero, over alleged terrorism financing.
The meeting, scheduled for 8am on Tuesday, will have in attendance all heads of affiliates and state chapters of NLC. The NLC Secretary General, Emmanuel Ugboaja, signed the notice of the meeting, which reads: “You are invited to the emergency National Executive Council Hybrid meeting.”
The police invitation of Ajaero has sparked reactions, with the NLC rejecting the explanation offered by the police on the raid and demanding the release of its arrested members and seized documents.
