Lead Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has affirmed that his client is eagerly waiting to have his day in court to defend himself against all charges levelled against him by the Federal Government.
Barrister Ejiofor disclosed this in a statement he issued on Thursday after his regular visit to Nnamdi Kanu, at the National Headquarters of the Department of State Security Services.
The IPOB’s lawyer disclosed that the court date set for the 21st of October is sacrosanct and that the FG would have no hiding place but to appear in court with Kanu.
Ejiofor who went to the DSS with Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, revealed that the IPOB leader is thankful for the unshaken support and peaceful conduct of IPOB members so far.
He relayed that Kanu further called for relentless prayers and support from his teeming followers.

” October 21, 2021 is sacrosanct and shall be the D-Day we have long-awaited. We crave for justice and nothing more, and justice must not only be done but must be seen to have been done by all and sundry,” the lawyer said.
“Onyendu (leader) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is in high spirits and tenaciously looking forward to the 21st Day of October 2021 Hearing Date.
“Since the Federal Government refused to honour the Fiat granted by the Honourable Chief Judge for Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case to be heard during the Court’s Annual vacation, or even shortly afterwards, ostensibly because they have no case against our Client, they definitely will have no hiding place come the 21st Day of October 2021, the earlier adjourned date,” Ejiofor added.
He said, “Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s erudite legal team have done all that is within our powers to assemble the best legal arsenal in Court come 21st October 2021 Hearing.
“Hence, we crave your cooperation and indulgence during this period. Please be assured that with God on our side, victory is certain.”
