Nollywood actor, Saka escapes death as robbers attack residence in Abeokuta…..demand N20m

Robbers on Tuesday morning attacked the house of Nollywood actor, Hafiz Oyetoro, also known as Saka, and carted away valuables.

Saka’s friend, Hon. Kehinde Soaga, posted the information on his Facebook page with a title, ‘Saka is well and Safe’

Soaga narrated that the gunmen suspected to be armed robbers broke into his home at about 2.00am.

The robbers were said to have been heavily armed and demobilized his security  guards before gaining entry into his apartment.

Soaga in his narration said the robbers demanded for a sum of N20 million naira from the actor and threatened to kill him.

Oyetoro was said to have pleaded with the robbers that he had no such amount of money on him while they later asked him to give them N3 million.

He was reported to have been descended on by the robbers.

Soaga’s message on the social media read thus, “I’ve received my Calls and msg today. “SAKA” Hafiz Oyetoro Is Safe and Okay.

“It’s true that Hafiz Oyetoro’s home was attacked by dare devil armed robbers over night this Monday 8th Aug 2022.

“The robbers broke into his home at about 2 am heavily armed with pump action guns, matchetes, breaking in tools.  His security guards were tied down.

“Three other houses on the street were robbed with more devastating effect.
They broke the burglary proof and went straight to him demanding for N20 million or his life, threatening to kill and destroy him.

“He begged and pleaded. They later came down to N3 million which he said he doesn’t have. They dazed him with a resounding slap etc.

The armed robbers acked all android phones, iPhones laptops and all available cash in the home. Also collected all ATM cards.

“The robbers came with POS to empty money in açcounts. Saka’s security guards were demobilised while the guards of his neighbors were not too lucky as they were shot several times in the arms.

“We thank almighty GOD for Saka’s Life and his family and neighbors .
Thankfully, Nobody died in this incident. He’s doing fine.”

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he had no information to the incident.
