‘Notorious’ Boko Haram terrorist, Alhaji Wosai, surrenders to Nigerian troops

A man suspected to be notorious Boko Haram terrorist, Alhaji Wosai, has surrendered to the Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State.

 

According to a report by security analyst and counter insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, it was gathered that the terrorist surrendered on May 11, 2024, to the troops of the 21 Armored Brigade after escaping from the enclave of the insurgents in Garno village in Borno State.

Intelligence sources informed Zagazola Makama that he surrendered with one AK-47 rifle and one magazine filled with 7.63 mm and 39 mm special ammunition.

 

 

The suspected terrorist is said to be cooling his heels in military custody for profiling.

Itnwas gathered that the Nigerian Army in a post on its verified X handle on Sunday, also confirmed the report.

 

It said : “In the Northeastern State of Borno, a notable incident occurred when Alhaji Wosai, identified as a notorious member of the Boko Haram Terrorists operating within the Garno Village, in Dikwa Local Government Area, voluntarily surrendered to troops. Wosai handed over his AK-47 rifle and a magazine containing two rounds of ammunition.”
