NSCDC promotes over 5000 to new ranks

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), on Saturday, said it has promoted 5010 officers and men to new ranks.

DCC Olusola Odumosu Director, Public Relations in a statement said the promotion is aimed at motivating and encouraging officers and men to put in their best.

He said the promotion ranges from inspectors to Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC).

The promotion also includes officers upgraded and converted with effect from 01/01/2020 and 01/01/2021

“From a total of 5010 upgraded personnel, 4494 were promoted, while 516 got upgraded by conversion,” the statement said

Giving a breakdown of promotion, he said 116 Assistant Commandants of Corps (ACC) got promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandant of Corps (DCC), while 362 Chief Superintendents of Corps (CSC) were promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC).

Others are; 399 Superintendents of Corps (SC) to Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC) and 550 Deputy Superintendents of Corps (DSC) Superintendent of Corps.

“Another 888 Assistant Superintendents of Corps I (ASC I) are now Deputy Superintendents of Corps (DSC), 1191 Assistant Superintendents of Corps II (ASC II) got promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Corps (I) while 988 Inspectors of Corps II (IC II) were also promoted to Assistant Superintendents of Corps II (ASC II).

Again, 516 personnel got upgraded/converted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASC II)

The Commandant General charged the newly, promoted officers to justify their promotion, by contributing to the growth of the Corps, through hard work, renewed zeal, vigour, loyalty to service and patriotism to the nation.
