Osimhen, Iwobi dropped for Super Eagles’ clash with Costa Rica

Victor Osimhen and Alex Iwobi have not been included in Nigeria’s squad to face Costa Rica in an international friendly.

The game is scheduled to be played in San Jose on November 10.

The players invited have been training at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Goalkeeper Bankole, utility player Ohaka, and midfielder Afeez Nosiru make the cut.

The NPFL-dominated squad also has Nathaniel Nwosu, Mustapha Jibrin, Daniel Bameyi, Samuel Kalu, Chidiebere Nwobodo and Evans Ogbonda,

Others in the 18-man squad include Samson Paul, Daniel Wotlai, Jerry Alex, Isaiah Ejeh, Ezekiel Edidiong, Qudus Akanni, Shina Akinniran, Sunday Faleye and Suleiman Garba.

Although prominent Super Eagles have been snubbed for the Costa Rica meeting, they are expected to feature prominently when Peseiro names the team to face Portugal.
