The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says it is not in any way involved in the “tracking and leakage of telephone conversation by certain individuals as being alleged by some individuals and groups in the social and alternative media.

This is coming against the backdrop of the leakage of an alleged voice tape of the telephone conversation between the senior pastor at the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo and the presidential candidate of Labour party in the 2023 general election, Mr Peter Obi that has been trending since Sunday.

In a statement by Reuben Muoka, the commission’s Director, Public Affairs, the NCC said the commission has been inundated with enquiries by the media on allegations of telephone “tracking” and “leakage” made against the Commission by some individuals and groups in the social and alternative Media.
