Pakistan, A Faithful And Consistent Ally Of Nigeria – President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has remained faithful and consistent in assisting Nigeria, particularly in the training of members of the armed forces.

The President spoke Friday at State House, Abuja, while receiving General Nadeem Raza, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Islamic Republic according to his spokesperson, Femi Adesina.

He quoted Buhari as saying: “We greatly appreciate your help in terms of training members of our armed forces, officers and men. Some of my colleagues trained in your country, and you have remained consistent in assisting us. We benefit a lot from Pakistani, and we are grateful.”

In his response, General Raza said Nigeria was the most important country in Africa, “and we value our collaboration. We learn and benefit a lot from each other.”

Meanwhile, operatives of the Lagos State police command have commenced a show of force to prove that they are ready for Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho and his allies on Saturday, July 3, 2021.

Recall that the spokesman of the Yoruba activist, Olayomi Koiki, had threatened that the rally would be held with or without his leader tomorrow.

Yoruba groups and co-organisers, Ilana Omo Oodua also disclosed that the rally would take place on Saturday despite the attack on Igboho’s residence.

The venue for the rally, Gani Fawehimi Freedom Park in Ojota, has witnessed the increased presence of security operatives.

The Police Thursday deployed hundreds of officers and assets including motorcycles, heavy trucks, and Armoured Personnel Carrier vehicles.
