The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed confidence in reclaiming power in 2027, with former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom leading the charge.
Ortom, who has assumed the role of co-chairman of the G14 group, comprising elders of the PDP from the 14 local government areas of Tiv extraction, emphasized that no one has the power to disband the group.
“I encourage you to work and be conscience of the party. Let us put behind us the past grievances.
This is the time you have to work harder than before and bring back some of those who want to join us,” Ortom said, addressing members of the G14 group at his Makurdi residence. “I know that many people are yearning to return to the party, let us begin a new journey, and with God’s on our side, we will get the power back to our party in 2027”.
This statement comes as a beacon of hope for PDP supporters, who have been eagerly awaiting the party’s return to power.
With Ortom’s leadership and the G14 group’s support, the PDP seems determined to reclaim its position in the political landscape.
However, the journey ahead won’t be easy, as the PDP faces internal conflicts and external challenges. The party’s ability to unite and work towards a common goal will be crucial in achieving success in 2027.
