The National Association Of Nigerian Students (Zone D) has opposed the Government on a sudden increase in the Pump Price of Petrol on Wednesday. The zone’s coordinator expressed his position in a statement released on Wednesday.

The increase in Price from N138.62 per litre to N151.56 per litre was disclosed in an internal Memo from Ibadan depot to all stakeholders signed by D.O Abalaka.

Coordinator of NANS (Zone D) Kowe Odunayo Amos, in a statement, described the increase as punishment to Nigerians given the prevailing economic hardship in the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The students’ body, however, asked President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabinet members to reverse the pump price or resign.
