The event, which took place in Enugu on Saturday, was graced by prominent figures including Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the state governor.
The film star also shared photos from the anniversary via his Instagram account.
In a post accompanying the pictures, Edochie hailed his wife, who he referred to as “my queen”, for being with him for over five decades.
The actor further appreciated his children for putting the event together to honour them.
“53 years of marital bliss with my queen, Chief Barrister Mrs. Josephine Edochie. Thanks to my children for hosting us to the biggest party of our lifetime, yes our life because we are one,” he wrote.
“In celebration of our 53yrs of marriage and life in goodness and in good health.
“This past 53yrs, God blessed us with six biological children (among all the inherited ones and numerous grand-children)

With several awards and recognition, the actor has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian movie industry.
