Police rescue two-year-old from child traffickers in Delta

Two child traffickers have been nabbed by the Delta State police command while their two-year-old victim was rescued from them.
The suspects are 57-year-old Sa’ad Ahmed Baba of 12 Lagos Street, Cable Point, Asaba and 25-year-old Halima Abubakar of Jaret, Cable Point, Asaba.
The child was rescued at Issele-Asagba, Oshimili North local government area of the state where they hid the baby.
The arrest was made when the command received information from a resident of Jaret in Asaba that her child, Ridwan Ibrahim went missing while playing with other children in the compound of her sister whom she went to visit.
Based on this information, the Delta State Police commissioner, Wale Abass detailed operatives to embark on an intelligence-led investigation.
The team swung into action, analysing the phone conversation of some suspected persons and consequently, arrested the suspects.
Police public relations officer (PPRO), Delta State command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the report saying investigation was ongoing.
