“Presidential Lie” – Fayose reacts to Buhari’s Claim of lifting Nigerians out of Poverty

Former Ekiti state governor and Chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ayodele Fayose has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s claim that his administration has lifted several Nigerians out of poverty.

Earlier today, President Buhari, in his democracy day speech stated that his administration has succeeded in lifting million of Nigerians out of poverty.

Reacting to the claim, Fayose, via twitter took a swipe at the President branding his claim as a ‘Presidential lie’.

“I’m sure what he meant to say was that he has lifted 10.5m Nigerians out of wealth into poverty, death and anguish. Buhari has impoverished Nigerians and caused disunity in the country more than any leader in our history.”

“That claim of lifting 10.5m Nigerians out of poverty is “Presidential Lie” or in local slang, “Lori iro”.
