Gombe State University has announced the death of its first Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Mahdi.
Professor Mahdi was a highly respected member of the academic community, known for his dedication to his students and his contributions to the field of higher education.

His funeral prayer (janazah) is scheduled to take place by 4pm tomorrow Saturday at Emir’s Palace, Gombe.
