Convener of Nigerians for Good Governance, Wole Adedapo, called on Nigerians to rescue themselves from oppressive leaders in the country.

Adedapo stated that the federal government’s policies, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the devaluation of the naira, worsened the economic crisis in Nigeria.

He accused leaders of being unconcerned about citizens’ welfare, urging them to listen to the people’s demands.

“Our demand is to reverse fuel subsidy, stop the devaluation of our naira, open the borders until we can sufficiently provide in terms of agriculture food for our needs once this is done we have respite,” Adedapo said.

He also called on state governors, particularly Osun State’s governor, to use increased allocations to improve citizens’ lives.

“To the governor, we are saying the money that you have collected is more than what has always been collected in Osun state get this money and fix the life of the people. We are accusing Tinubu today of doing a road of N15 trillion at the expense of the people the same thing is happening here at the expense of recruiting people into various sectors, we are fixing roads.”

Adedapo warned that Nigerians should not be pushed to the point of desperation, citing the recent events in Kenya. “Nigerians have risen and I hope our leaders will not push Nigerians to Kenya that just happened recently. My advice to Nigerians is to be resolute at this point to rescue themselves from the oppression of the leaders in all ramifications across structures from national to state to local government from executives to legislatures across the nation.” He added.
