Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has decorated his counterpart in Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with an honorary doctoral degree.
This comes moments after the Distinguished Professor Peter Okebukola was decorated as Professor Emeritus.
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was conferred with a Doctorate Degree in Educational Development and Community Development.

“Your Excellency, My Brother, and Colleague, Babajide SanwoOlu, thank you,” Ganduje said while receiving his honorary degree.
According to him, LASU is the best state University in Nigeria while the University of Ibadan is the best in Nigeria.
He thanked the entire LASU governing board and the university for appreciating his contribution to the growth of Nigeria.
He said the Almajiri system of education is being fine-tuned to become better than what it is.

In Kano State, Ganduje said there are many skill acquisition programmes in order to make graduates self-employed.
He noted that there is constant and timely remuneration of teachers at the Kano University of Science and Technology.
