While franktalknow.com is yet to get Fr. Alumuku to state the reason behind the presence of a masquerade at the ceremony, it was learnt that such appearance might not be an usual feature of such an epoch of an event in Tiv land where the priest hails from.

The 40th ordination celebration service tagged Father Alumaku 40 Years of Grace, held on Saturday 26 June, 2021 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Abuja.

The National Director of Social Communications of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja and a Priest of the Archdiocese of Lagos, Very Rev. Fr Dr Mike Nsikak Umoh, who ministered on the occasion, described Fr. Alumuku as a man of the people who is close to his parishioners.

Rev Fr. Umoh in his sermon published by the Nigeria Catholic Network, said Fr. Alumuku had invited everyone to join him in thanking God for 40 years of faithful service in the Lord’s vineyard.

Fr Alumuku was ordained by Bishop Donald Murray, CSSP in 1981.

He became the Rector of St. James Junior Seminary at the age of 27 with the responsibility of grooming young boys for the Catholic priesthood.
