Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general elections even as he seeks the support of all to defeat the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
He was declared the winner by the chairman of the APC convention 2022, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State after an all-night event at Eagle Square in Abuja.
Accompanied by his wife, Remi, Tinubu in his acceptance speech, said today is another historic day and thanked God for being part of it.

“We are grateful to you. We thank you for being a steady and great support to our president and thank Ahmad Lawan for past cooperation. Shame on those who already nailed the coffin of APC. Our party is alive.
“We are a cat of nine lives. When a cat lies down, it is no pretence of death, but a way of gathering strength.”
He described the Peoples Democratic Party as the “Property Development Party” which he said should be ready to be buried.
He commended his fellow aspirants, saying they made him a better man. He thanked those that stepped down for him.
