The outfit of the vice-presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima, to the Nigerian Bar Association conference in Lagos early Monday has sparked reactions from people on Twitter.

The APC VP candidate had worn a pair of gym shoes on a suit, an outfit considered an unmatch for such formal wear.

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, who spoke on the outfit said, “This is Tinubu’s running mate at the NBA conference today. Look at his feet. Who in his right mind wears a suit and tie, and then puts on a pair of gym shoes to a conference?

“If Shettima does not know how to dress himself, how can he address Nigeria’s challenges?

“The man heard NBA and thought it was National Basketball Association. That is why he wore basketball shoes on top of a suit and tie. If you are a foreign investor, would you invest in a country where the Vice President is seen in public like this?

“Shettima is always angry that others are sharing oxygen with him, eyes blazing loud. He is a driven man hoping to replicate Borno all over d country. Ya Allah save us from enemy within.”
