A Miami man has been charged with sexual battery after he allegedly ran up behind a Walmart shopper and ripped her clothes off before trying to rape her.
The sex attacker, who police say is Bredan Harvey, 28, of Miami Gardens, carried out the assault on the stranger in a Miami Dade store Saturday, while the victim was shopping
Harvey allegedly pulled up the woman’s dress while she perused the supermarket’s aisles, then grabbed her buttocks.
The stunned shopper turned to face her attack her, only for the pervert to push her to the floor before grabbing at her thighs and underwear.
She screamed for help, and managed to summon help from nearby shoppers.
Customers inside the store quickly reacted and immediately attempted to pull Harvey off the victim.
One customer, in particular, wearing a white top, can be observed restraining Harvey with the help of another good Samaritan until the local authorities’ arrival.

The clip of the attack was filmed after Harvey was pulled away from his alleged victim, although a shaken-looking woman can be seen propping herself against the aisle a few feet away from the altercation.
‘That’s really unsafe,’ said Mikaila Carroll, who often shops at the store in the 3200 block of Northwest 79th Street. ‘I would come into a Walmart to grocery shop.’
‘Just for somebody to come up to me, not thinking that somebody is going to come up to me, touching me, it’s just scary as a female too,’ she added.
Shopper Kayla Carter told Local10 that she was left speechless by the incident after becoming a witness
‘I don’t even know what to say, I’m at a loss of words,’ she said. ‘Where is the protection? It’s a shame, it’s a shame there are kids that come here, there are families.’
Harvey, who was initially held without bond by police, appeared in front of a judge in court on Monday, where it was revealed that he was out on probation at the time of the incident, Miami Dade Police Department told DailyMail.com.
He was ordered to stay away from the victim and the Walmart store, before being given a $50,000 bond.
Meanwhile, Walmart released a statement on Tuesday afternoon, referring to this past weekend’s incident.
‘The safety of our associates and customers is among our top priorities,’ it read.
‘We’re very disturbed to see something like this in our store and are grateful to those who intervened to stop the alleged attack and detain this man until police arrived.’
