Singer Ayra Starr placed on immediate bed rest, misses US show

Popular Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has been placed on immediate bed rest due to health concerns.

 

The Mavin Signee, who was billed to headline the Industry Night Show in Houston last night, was forced to miss the show because of her ill health.

In a statement released on her Instastory, Ayra Starr apologized to her fans and expressed her disappointment at missing the show.

“DC, VA & Houston your girl is going through it. My doctor has advised I slow down, hence I’m on immediate bed rest.

“So sorry I couldn’t meet every one of you as planned. I’m also sorry you feel let down but I promise to be back in a special way for you when we’ll have a magical time.

“I appreciate your prayers and well wishes #styvesdc #somethinginthewater #industryniteusa.”

A while back, Ayra Starr was mentioned in a test at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya.

Her popular song “Rush” was made a mandatory question for second-year students in the Department of Marketing and Management.

A Kenyan student took to his Twitter account, to share a screenshot of the exam paper and expressed disappointment that their lecturer based the questions on a musician’s song despite studying the other parts of the syllabus intensely.
