Publisher and activist Omoyele Sowore has made a startling allegation that the Federal Government has purchased a presidential jet worth $100 million. The jet, an Airbus A330-200, was initially registered as VP-CAC and has now been registered as 5N-FGA.

Sowore claims that the jet was configured or reconfigured with an additional $50 million, bringing the total cost to $150 million. He expressed outrage that the purchase was not included in the annual budget and that the government could afford to spend such a large sum on a private jet while struggling to pay minimum wage to workers and approve funding for education and other essential services.

He criticized the government’s decision to spend billions of dollars on a private jet while students have to obtain loans to go to college and workers are not paid a living wage. He also highlighted the irony of the government approving funds for hajj, which he claims have been stolen.
