Student Makes History, Wins Architect Olusesgun Aluko’s Cash Prize

Ayangbenro Modupeola has made history as the first student to win the Architect Olusesgun Olanrewaju Aluko annual students’ competition.

The HND I Mass Communication student at Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, beat several other competitors to emerge as the winner of the competition.

Modupeola walked away with a cash prize of three hundred thousand naira, while the first runner-up and second runner-up received two hundred thousand and one hundred thousand naira respectively.

The competition, which was organised by Architect Olusesgun Olanrewaju Aluko, the immediate past Rector of the institution, was held to commemorate his birthday celebration.

The competition saw students from various departments of the institution participating in different categories. The contestants were judged based on their knowledge of their respective fields and their ability to articulate their ideas effectively.

Modupeola expressed her excitement at winning the competition and thanked Architect Olusesgun Olanrewaju Aluko for providing the opportunity for students to showcase their talents.

She also thanked the judges for recognizing her efforts and pledged to continue to work hard to excel in her chosen field.

The Architect Olusesgun Olanrewaju Aluko annual students’ competition is expected to become a yearly event at the institution, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and compete for cash prizes.

The recent rector of the institution Dr Mukhail Akinde, also gifted each participant of the competition with ten thousand naira.
