The Super Eagles of Nigeria have played a frustrating 0-0 draw with the Amavuli of Rwanda in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Despite their dominance, the Eagles were unable to score due to their profligacy and the brilliance of the Rwandan goalie.

Austin Eguavoen’s side had earlier beaten Benin Republic 3-0 on Saturday and were hoping to build on that momentum. However, they were left frustrated by their inability to score.

The draw means that the Eagles have picked up four points in their opening two games in the qualifying round.

“We are disappointed with the result, but we will take the point and move on, we had our chances, but we couldn’t take them. We will work on our finishing and come back stronger,” said Eguavoen

The Eagles will next face Rwanda in the return leg of the qualifiers.
