Sympathisers have continued to drop flowers at the gate of Dowen College at Lekki, Lagos to pay tribute to the late 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, Jr, who died on 30 November after allegedly being bullied and beaten by some students of the school for refusing to join cultism.

Our correspondent who visited the school saw wreaths of flowers and teddy bears being laid at the entrance of the school to honour the deceased.

Sylvester allegedly died from internal injuries allegedly sustained during the beating he received from five students of the school who reportedly bullied him for refusing to join cultism.

However, in a statement, the school denied the allegations, stating that Sylvester was neither bullied nor beaten but only complained of hip pain after playing football.

Lagos State government has since shut the college pending investigations into the death.
