“This big tomorrow for the future of our children…

How they will hold their own among other tribes of Nigeria…

How the Yorubas will not be relegated to the background in the future”

– Sir Adeyemo Alakija,1948. [cited in Agbaje, A(1989), in “Mass media and the shaping of federal character: A content analysis of four decades of Nigerian newspapers, 1950–1984.” 104–105.].

Since the 1941 debacle in the Nigerian Youth Movement, between Obafemi Awolowo and Nnamdi Azikiwe, with the latter, led the Igbos out of the party to form another party, NCNC (National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons) with another Yoruba man, Herbert Macaulay, the Igbo nation has never hidden the fact that it is their manifest destiny of being in utter control of taking over of Lagos because right from 1861, it has been explicitly clear that whosoever controls Lagos, the major artery in the road into the entire nation in the Gulf of Guinea, that would be named Nigeria, would ultimately control Nigeria.

Hence, while all the founding fathers of the nation during the struggles for independence went back to their various regions, Nnamdi Azikwe stayed behind deliberately in Lagos. Tasking his own people in The eastern region of Nigeria to start flocking into Lagos en masse, with all sorts of mass appealing incentives to settle and absolve them very quickly into the local economy, that within just a  few years, such migrants could be strong enough to own choice properties in any part of Lagos with ease, and therefore with consistent premeditated mass migration into Lagos and taking up strategic properties in sensitive parts of the state, the Igbos have undoubtedly rigged a patriarchal circle of socio-economic control round Lagos, what remains is just political power, while the Yorubas, with their usual over accommodating spirit, are not at all worried of the likely consequences of losing political power to the Igbos.

The question is, can any Yoruba man or Hausa-Fulani man do what the Igbos are doing in Lagos in any part of Eastern Nigeria, particularly the Igbo states? Our answer is in negative. Emphatic and Capital NO!

Let us ask ourselves why the Igbos with such unprecedented deep-seated hatred detest Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, more than even the devil himself, bearing in mind that he has never ruled in any part of the East before nor over Nigeria. But the reason is not farfetched, they regarded him as a throwback of Awolowo, who is strong enough to stop them in their track from their ubiquitous master plan of plotting to overrun Lagos, with their massive population relocating to Lagos, while their states become deserted. Therefore, most of the new policies since Tinubu’s administration in 1999, primarily aimed with the laudable intention of reinventing Lagos, and transforming it into a smart city of the 21st century were perceived by them to be a major stumbling block, well-aimed and delivered pretentiously as revolving targets against them and therefore resisted by Igbos in Lagos, funny enough, not by the indigenes of Lagos. Therefore, Tinubu MUST be destroyed or killed. And with their wealth have been able to recruit many Yorubas into their ranks and files, as willing tools. Even those in Afenifere, (a socio-political group established by the late sage with a personality like Sir Adeyemo Alakija, whose eternal fear of what is today contending against the Yoruba nation has appeared ab initio), to be at the forefront of fighting against the taking over of Yorubaland, by hostile forces. But ironically and quite unfortunately, the same is now frolicking and fornicating with the enemy…

To any average Igboman, from the inception of history, Lagos is a no man’s land, hence available for anyone daring enough to grab it and run away with it, while the ‘cowards’ as they like to refer to the Yorubas, do what they like best to do, fiddle away in “Owambe” like Nero, while Rome burns.

With the above historic background in mind, it should be explicitly clear why the Igbos are the ones lining up behind the LP candidate and in an illiberal alliance with PDP,in the next governorship election, with such a satanic agreement they have reached to take over Lagos, part of which is the upgrading of the titular “Eze Ndigbo” in Lagos, into a full-fledged constitutional recognized title, like any others of the titled traditional authorities in Lagos and so on.

It is now left for the Yorubas to “ro’nu”

Our appeal is that all Yoruba sons and daughters, should come out and vote massively for APC Governorship candidate, in order to retain our rich natural heritage; failure to do this shall definitely lead to a loss that would be generational.

“Abo orolanso fun Omoluabi….”
