President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have hosted Super Falcons striker and six-time CAF Women’s Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting took place on Wednesday, December 28, 2023, to celebrate Oshoala’s recent achievement of winning the prestigious African football award.
President Tinubu congratulated Oshoala on her record-breaking sixth win, praising her and her teammates for their contributions to Nigerian football. He stated, “What our ladies have achieved in football is commendable. Keep rising and demonstrating the best of the Nigerian character.”
