Media personality and actress, Toke Makinwa has taken to social media to reveal that she was robbed of her valuables in London.

Makinwa was among the guests who graced the white wedding of actress, Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike at Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire, England, on Saturday, 26th November 2022.

Three days after the wedding, Makinwa took to her Instagram story to reveal that she has been robbed. According to the 38-year-old, all her valuables were taken away. She lamented that she is speechless and wondered how it could have happened to her.

She wrote: Just got robbed in London… I’m speechless. All my valuables are gone. Gosh how could this happen to me.

Singer Yemi Alade robbed in Cote d’Ivoire

Frank Talk Now  reported that singer Yemi Alade revealed how she was robbed over the weekend in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire where she went to perform.

Narrating how the robbery incident took place, Yemi Alade via Instagram on Monday lamented how thieves got into her hotel room ransacked her belongings, and stole all the money they could find.

She wrote: “A few minutes after I left my room, some unknown people decided to go through my things and steal: all the money they could find, Very good.”

Alade had attended and performed at the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend days back.

She recently travelled to Côte d’Ivoire for the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND), a 3-day gathering of creatives from Africa and the Diaspora.

The event hosted by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the African Union, and the Government of Côte d’Ivoire serve as a prelude to the next Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) Summit at IATF2023.

But responding to well-wishers’ concerns, Alade noted “they are investigating, looking through cameras and all but she knows the money is all gone by now.

“The suspects are all denying,” she retorted while shaking her head.

Alade is a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter, actress, and activist.

Toke Makinwa opens up on scary encounter with a witch

Kemi Filani news recalls that Toke Makinwa stirred the internet with her true life story on her experience with a witch.

During an episode of her Podcast, Toke Moments with Tania Omotayo, she disclosed how a witch called her twice.

According to her, the old woman who called herself a witch told her that a lot of people were bringing her names to her.

Toke added that the witch called her back at an odd hour after she failed to return her call.

“True story, someone tried me but they forgot I am ‘Iya Ijo’ in church.

An old woman from Ile Ife called me and said she is a witch.

She told me to call her back but u didn’t and she called me back at 2A.M.

She told me that people were bringing my names to her”.

Toke Makinwa on how she fought her way to stardom

In other news, Toke Makinwa, opened up on how she had to fight so hard to become who she is.

While celebrating 2022 women’s day, the foremost OAP and TV host took a memory lane on her career days.

She noted how she had to fight to become who she is.

“Fought so hard to become HER. Happy International Women’s Day. A boss”.

This was shortly after she made a shocking revelation about her life, where she disclosed how became an orphan at the early age of eight.

Sharing her story via her verified Twitter platform, Toke Makinwa wrote: “29 years ago today I buried both parents, 8 years old, not fully understanding what was happening as I watched the two most important people in my life lowered in the ground. All I can say is 29 years after, Jireh, you are enough 🙏forever enough, always enough, more than enough.”
