Two dead, one injured in Lagos-Ibadan auto crash

Two persons died on Wednesday when a bus rammed into a truck along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, saying its KM27 Ogunmakin unit Command carried out the rescue operation around 4:30 AM today.
The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, said the accident involved an Iveco trailer marked, DUK517XA, and a Volkswagen bus, registered as MUS05YF.

Okpe said, “a total of four men were involved; one was injured, one was rescued unhurt and two persons were recorded dead from the crash.”
She blamed the accident on excessive speed, which said led to the loss of control.
The injured victim, as gathered has been taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, while the dead bodies are deposited at FOS Morgue, Ipara.
