The Presidency has now confirmed the earlier reported robbery attack on the premises of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on Monday morning.

It was earlier reported that a gang of armed robbers attacked the homes of Agboola Gambari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, and an admin officer, Abubakar Maikano, in the premises of the Presidential Villa.

Now, Presidential Spokesperson Garba Shehu has confirmed via his official Twitter account that there was an attack, though unsuccessful, on Gambari’s residence. However, the supposedly foiled attack was downplayed as a “foolish attempt”.
