Omoyele Sowore, activist leader of the #RevolutionNow movement, appeared in court on Tuesday accompanied by a spiritualist. The traditional mystic priest was clad in red and black striped attire adorned with cowries.
Sowore and four others are standing trial at the Chief Magistrate Court on charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and inciting the public.

This has led to mixed reactions from the general public, with some social media users hailing him for connecting to his ancestral roots, whilst others have termed it as “nonsensical”.
