The Super Eagles of Nigeria, before the match against Benin Republic for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, sang the ‘Arise O’ Compatriots’ anthem instead of the newly reintroduced ‘Nigeria We Hail Thee’.
On May 29, President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law which restored the old anthem ‘Nigeria We Hail Thee’ with immediate effect.
